Saint Louis Weather Club (STLWC) – Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
Effective Date: April 8, 2024
Governing Jurisdiction: State of Missouri, United States
Organization: Saint Louis Weather Club, a Missouri-based unincorporated association (“STLWC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)
This Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy outlines the rights, protections, and permitted uses of all media and content made available on or through the official website and affiliated platforms of the Saint Louis Weather Club (“STLWC”). This policy is binding upon all users, visitors, and third parties who access or interact with our website or digital content.
All media content presented on this website—including, but not limited to, images, graphics, logos, video clips, audio files, animations, written text, documents, downloadable files, and all other forms of visual or audio-visual materials—is the sole and exclusive property of STLWC or its content contributors, unless otherwise explicitly stated. These works are protected under applicable United States copyright law (Title 17 of the U.S. Code), and automatically receive copyright protection upon creation, regardless of registration with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Although the media and content found on this website may not be registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and are therefore not considered federally registered trademarks or service marks, they are nonetheless considered the intellectual property of STLWC and/or its respective contributors. All rights are reserved.
In addition to the protections provided under federal law, STLWC's intellectual property is protected under the laws of the State of Missouri, including but not limited to Missouri Revised Statutes §§ 417.005 to 417.066, which govern the protection of names, symbols, and other marks used in trade and commerce. Missouri common law also recognizes the right of organizations and individuals to control the use, reproduction, and representation of their original works.
Unauthorized use of any content—including reproduction, distribution, public display, modification, or incorporation into other works—without prior written consent from STLWC is strictly prohibited and may constitute a violation of U.S. copyright law, Missouri intellectual property law, and other applicable regulations.
Without the express, written permission of STLWC, users may not:
Copy, download, reproduce, or redistribute any media or content;
Modify or create derivative works from any content published on this site;
Use STLWC media for commercial, educational, or promotional purposes;
Publish STLWC content on other websites, social media accounts, or platforms;
Suggest or imply any affiliation with STLWC through the unauthorized use of its graphics, logos, or other content.
Any of the above actions may result in legal action, including but not limited to demands for removal, cease-and-desist letters, monetary damages, and other remedies available under state and federal law.
STLWC expressly reserves all rights not expressly granted in this Policy. No part of this website or its contents may be used or reproduced in any manner inconsistent with this policy unless written authorization is obtained in advance from STLWC.
The presence or absence of copyright notices, watermarks, or usage disclaimers does not affect the enforceability of our rights.
