Neutrality Notice and Non-Discrimination Policy
Saint Louis Weather Club (STLWC)™
1. Neutrality Commitment
By accessing, using, or participating in any services, platforms, communications, media outputs, or volunteer activities provided by the Saint Louis Weather Club, all users, members, volunteers, moderators, and affiliates expressly acknowledge and agree that the organization operates under a strict, comprehensive, and non-negotiable standard of neutrality. All actions, decisions, publications, and interactions conducted under the organization’s name or authority must remain entirely free from bias, favoritism, prejudice, or undue influence of any kind.
This neutrality is absolute and applies regardless of personal beliefs, external pressures, public opinion, or situational context. The organization exists solely for the purpose of weather safety, education, and public awareness, and no deviation from this mission through biased influence will be tolerated under any circumstances.
2. Scope of Neutrality
The neutrality requirement applies universally across all areas of operation without exception, including but not limited to:
All media content, including written forecasts, graphical outputs, alerts, reports, and public statements;
All forms of communication, including internal discussions, public messaging, and digital or in-person interactions;
All volunteer activities, operational planning, coordination efforts, and execution of duties;
All moderation decisions, enforcement actions, disciplinary measures, and user management;
All partnerships, collaborations, affiliations, and interactions with external individuals or entities.
Neutrality must be maintained consistently across all platforms, formats, and environments, including but not limited to websites, messaging systems, social media, video platforms, and any current or future technologies utilized by the organization.
3. Non-Discrimination Standards
The Saint Louis Weather Club enforces a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, bias, or unequal treatment in any form. Under no circumstances shall any individual or group be treated differently, excluded, targeted, or favored based on any characteristic, whether legally protected or otherwise.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Race, color, ethnicity, or ancestry;
National origin, immigration status, or citizenship;
Religion, creed, or belief system, whether organized or personal;
Political affiliation, political ideology, political expression, or policy positions;
Sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation;
Age, disability, medical condition, or physical or mental ability;
Socioeconomic status, financial condition, education level, or background;
Geographic location, cultural identity, or language;
Any other personal, social, or demographic characteristic.
All individuals must be treated with equal consideration, objectivity, and respect in every context associated with the organization.
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions constitute direct violations of this policy and are strictly prohibited in all contexts:
Expressing, promoting, endorsing, or opposing political, ideological, or social positions under the identity or authority of the organization;
Publishing, sharing, or amplifying content that is biased, discriminatory, inflammatory, or exclusionary in nature;
Allowing personal opinions, beliefs, affiliations, or external influences to affect forecasts, alerts, reports, or operational decisions;
Engaging in or permitting any form of harassment, targeting, stereotyping, or unequal treatment toward any individual or group;
Using organizational platforms, systems, or resources to advocate for causes, movements, or agendas unrelated to weather safety, education, and public awareness;
Implying organizational support for any viewpoint or position not directly tied to its mission.
These prohibitions apply equally to explicit statements, implied messaging, symbolic representation, and indirect conduct.
5. Operational Integrity
All outputs produced by the organization, including forecasts, alerts, data interpretations, reports, and media publications, must be grounded exclusively in objective, evidence-based, and scientifically supported meteorological information. The integrity of information must be preserved at all times.
No content may be altered, influenced, delayed, or framed in a manner that introduces bias, exaggeration, minimization, or distortion due to personal beliefs, public pressure, or external influence. Accuracy, clarity, and neutrality take precedence over all other considerations.
All operational decisions must be made based solely on mission relevance, factual data, and organizational standards, without interference from non-mission-related factors.
6. Volunteer and Staff Obligations
All individuals operating under or associated with the organization, including volunteers, moderators, members, and leadership personnel, are required to uphold the highest standard of neutrality and impartiality at all times.
Obligations include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining complete neutrality in all actions, communications, and decisions;
Avoiding both actual conflicts of interest and situations that may create the appearance of bias;
Refraining from using affiliation with the organization to express, promote, or legitimize personal, political, or ideological views;
Ensuring that all interactions with the public and other members remain professional, objective, and respectful;
Immediately correcting or reporting any instance where neutrality may be compromised.
Failure to meet these obligations constitutes a violation of this policy.
7. Enforcement
This policy is enforced strictly and without exception. Any violation, whether direct, indirect, intentional, or negligent, may result in immediate disciplinary action.
Enforcement measures may include, but are not limited to:
Formal warnings or documented violations;
Restriction or removal of access to platforms, tools, or responsibilities;
Temporary suspension from participation or duties;
Indefinite suspension pending review;
Permanent removal from all services, platforms, and affiliations.
All enforcement decisions are made at the sole discretion of organizational leadership and are final.
8. Reporting Violations
Any individual who observes, experiences, or suspects a violation of this neutrality and non-discrimination policy is required to report it. Reports must include as much detail as possible to allow for proper review and assessment.
All violations must be reported via email to contact@stlweatherclub.org.
All reports will be reviewed by leadership in a timely and confidential manner. Retaliation against any individual who submits a report in good faith is strictly prohibited and will itself be treated as a serious violation of this policy.
