Rain
Radar at 8:23 AM CDT on 2/14/26
A large and powerful storm system is sweeping across the central and southern United States today through tonight, producing widespread rain and the potential for severe weather. The most impactful severe storms are expected across portions of the South, where damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and large hail will be possible.
Widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 1.5 inches are likely, with isolated higher amounts where thunderstorms repeatedly track over the same areas. Localized flooding, especially in low-lying and poor-drainage locations, cannot be ruled out.
Residents should remain weather-aware and monitor for watches and warnings through tonight. Have multiple ways to receive alerts and be prepared to act quickly if severe weather approaches.
