On January 4, 2025, a massive snow storm swept through the midwest. This resulted in almost an inch of snow in STL, and much more in other places. This affected a huge portion of the United States.

On December 14, 2024 rain occurred causing MINOR flooding in SOME areas.

On November 5, 2024, rain accumulating to 8.99 (in.) occured in the St. Louis area. Many houses were flooded, and several severe thunderstorm warnings and even in St. Charles County, a tornado warning were issued. 5 deaths were reported.

On September 22, 2024 thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall accumulating to 1.23" fell on St. Louis. in some low-lying areas flooding occurred. This may not sound like a lot, but an inch is actually a large amount of rain. No deaths were reported.

At 5:30 PM on Monday July 8, 2024, severe thunderstorms and thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall rolled into Saint Louis causing Flash Flooding. Thankfully there were no reports of anyone getting hurt and STLWC was able to collect many forms of data, from rain graphs to wind speeds, which helps us to further understand what these storms can do.

On July, 3 2024, thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall which further led to flash flooding of local streams and low lying areas occurred. These storms helped us gather data about what these thunderstorms can do.

During the afternoon and early evening of May 26, 2024, ten tornadoes touched down in the St. Louis metropolitan area and southwest Illinois from a mix of supercells and QLCS modes. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries or fatalities with these thunderstorms. STLWC collected many forms of data which further let us know what these storms can do.
Solar Eclipse Events

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse moved across North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.
